I made it! Two weeks ago I had an
to make an outfit for 18" dolls themed with monthly birthstones. I was familiar with garnet being January's stone of choice, but I soon learned there were alternate birthstones as well. I couldn't resist using both (plus I had this light raspberry that fit rose quartz almost perfectly 
). I took inspiration from wintertime paintings by Thomas Kinkade.
I had so much fun with the photoshoot, it's ridiculous. I had to improvise the background as, well, its not 'winter' here.
My huge bag of fiberfill really came in handy. 
I couldn't figure out how to make her do a snow-angel, though...
I won't bore you with 'duration' to make this beast of an outfit because I frogged SO MUCH it is not even funny and really skewed the real time it took.
